all i do is sew and drive ><
yep....so that's a summary of my summer right now =P ...all i do is work on costumes, drive places and...on special occasions....read! i have 6 or 7 more books to still finish before the end of the summer ^^ i'm excited! lets see...two required for school, two huge neal stephenson books (the first two volumes of the baroque series), one by gibson, and a few random ones i picked up at waldens. sounds good, ne? i think so ^^
and the driving...well, i try to drive about every day, but it usually ends up being closer to every other day when i get a good drive in. i'm up to 25 hours tho, so that's not too bad for a months work ^^. driving downtown a few times a week helps i guess =P ...and it's getting even more comfy to drive, which i didn't think was possible...it's nice though, i'm really enjoying it. maybe if i'm *super* lucky, dad will let me drive the rental car at...
AX! which is what i'm sewing so much for. oto no pretear(takako version) takes lots of sewing and litte detail work and hand stiches...lumiere just takes a lot of crazy stuff that i have to do somehow >< ...hopefully the wig dye will be here by wed...i leave too early on thursday to get it then. the rit dye actually worked alright, but the dye is a little uneven, so i'm glad that alli could ask kaite bair (really really cool wig goddess lady) to ship the wig dye to me tomorrow ^^. i'll have to thank her lots at ax...don't let me forget.
so, that's summer right now. hazy sewing and driving and reading. and as usual...that's really all there is. i can't complain though...i'm enjoying it. and now i can start practicing my music for the trip, so that's nice. surprisingly the other day in practice we didn't sound bad (overall), my section (*TWO* *MAUI* french horns!) did pretty good ^^, even though we couldn't read some of the music, and i...well, i played, and not all that badly. i had a good time ^^ the 4 hours were nothing ^^ ...that makes me glad...i was worried about it ^_^;;
oh, and one more thing for your convenience before i go...days ashi won't be home!

and that's whats on my plate for the rest of the summer. i hope we can stil get stuff worked out to hang out anyway...anime marathon? somewhere? somehow? i don't know >< it might be hard...but that's what makes it even more fun.

post number one hundred and seventy three! ...lol
yeah...blog has been up for awhile, hasn't it? ah...well, we'll work on building those numbers up over the summer.
and summer, summer summer...what an intresting creature it is. it seems to go on forever and yet...the days go by so fast. i can be here, and then all of a sudden an hour has past and i can't quite figure out where it went. I think it's something sort of like walking through syrup or molassess or something really sticky and heavy like that...just an endless ooze that has no beginning or end and you're stuck somewhere in the middle. of course...because of fanime, i guess...it dosn't quite feel like summer. it's like..i ditch school every day or something. it dosn't feel like it's summer at all, but then again...how is summer supposed to feel? the first few days are exciting, and then...and then what? there isn't anything there...just empty space wating to be filled. and, i suppose, depending on how you fill it, it could be exciting, it could be sad, it could be the best summer you ever had. and in that way, it's like any other season. but something about that word...just saying the word summer...it makes it special. which of course goes back to roots from long ago. "summer days, drifting away, but oh the summer nights!" ...or something like that from grease. you get the idea, right? ...too bad my nights are empty. lol! but that just makes things all the more endless.
been working on oto no pretear (preteardvd.com) from pretear and i'm going to work on attempting to finish lumiere from kiddy grade before AX...in two weeks =P that'll be fun. good times all around, ne? that's what life is all about.

of course i know where i'm going in life! ...and no one will notice if i get lost once or twice, right? ....ne....
ah...summer! the long hazy days...sunshine and warmpth and sleep and relaxation. a lovely season, it's what it always is. even if a certin spring or fall or winter is bad, summer is always the same. at least while we're still in school. long days that stretch into infinity....driving along with no sense of time or destination. "tonight i feel ambisous (sp? ) and so does my foot, as it sinks on the pedal, i press it to the floor...." sometimes i wish we had more open road on maui. something that i could just drive on for hours and not worry where i was going because it wouldn't matter. i could get behind the wheel, bring my mean green teal machine up to speed and just cruise. no traffic, no speed limits to worry about....just straight open road, loud music, wind in my hair, moonshine lighting my way...
hmm. definetly got a bit off topic there.
anyway! back to what i was supposed to be talking about...Fanime! ^_^!!
what a wonderful event. we grew this year...much bigger than last year, but a 5 1/2 minute hallway can trick anyone. being staff was a blast ^_^! i got to meet a lot of cool people....(some for the second time ^_^;; i'm bad with names ^_^;; ) and then see a bunch of people who i only see once a year or once every two years. i really had a wonderful time ^^ my cosplay went decently as well? i need to work on parts of it. but my vacant look was pretty good ^^ "chii?" hehe....lots of fun.
i've been on a ramune kick ever since i had a bottle for the first time in forever at fanime. wizzywig was selling it...the're the same dealer that had my corn frosties pillow. i like them lots ^^. but things are going well in the ashi world. summer is...busy enough..could be doing more, but i don't want to always have to pretend that i have 25 hours in my day =P ...this is a nice break from school. i think i'll cook tomorrow.
